Sept. 20, 2011

Tuesday, Tuesday Patho Quiz/Exam Day!

But before that, we had dimensional analysis, which was fun!  We lectured first briefly on mental status examination and cranial nerves, and then did some practice problems on medication calculation.  It's kind of confusing, because there are three systems to convert between: metric, apothecary, and household.  So, that can be kind of confusing, but I think with more practice and usage, it will become easier.

After lunch was examination number two, which was awesome.  I love this class, and I actually did much better on the exam than I thought I did.  I hate that feeling.  I am usually the first or second person done with the test in that class, and then I always second-guess myself and wonder if I actually knew the material or if I really didn't know it that well.  I don't know why I get that anxiety, because I usually do really well when I feel that way.

And then we finished lecturing on the respiratory system, which was pretty intense.  I was pleased, though, that the professor told me I ask good questions.  I am sometimes nervous about asking questions, because I don't want to be that person in class who asks so many questions and who the rest of the class really doesn't like.

Two tests down and only two more to go!
